Our process

Helping you get the keys to your new home

We're experts at making the mortgage process less stressful for you and we’re here to help you throughout the process until the keys are in your hands.

All lenders

We work for you, not the banks which means we can give you advice on all products from every lender – across the whole of the market.

Free expert advice

Our initial advice service is free and without obligation. We'll only charge a fee should you proceed with our mortgage recommendation.

Hassle free

We deal with lenders on your behalf throughout the application process until completion.

Free, no obligation mortgage advice

We start by arranging an initial consultation to explore your requirements, we can do this over the phone or face to face if you prefer. We can visit you at your home or workplace or at a location convenient to you.

During this consultation we gather important information about your circumstances and finances, your needs and requirements and your attitude to risk.  This will allow us to assess how much you can borrow, which lender’s criteria matches your circumstances and which products will be most suitable to you.

Our consultation service is free and you can speak with us as often as you like and there is absolutely no obligation to arrange your mortgage through us.

Making the application

If you decide to proceed with a mortgage through us, we can obtain an “agreement in principle” for you from your chosen lender where possible. An agreement in principle means the lender has carried out a credit check on you and based on the information provided you have passed the initial assessment.

Once we have all of your paperwork we submit your mortgage application to the lender, so that they can fully assess your application.

Whilst your application is being assessed we remain in contact with the lender to ensure they are processing the application as quickly as possible while answering any queries that may arise, keeping you updated at all times. We can also liaise with any third parties such as estate agents and solicitors on the progress of your application.

When your mortgage offer is issued we check it for accuracy and notify you when you will receive it.

If you do decide to proceed with a mortgage application, we may charge a fixed fee, typically £495 payable on completion.

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
